Trompe L’oeil (“to trick the eye” ), can be used practically to hide something else, or simply used to provide a humorous and whimsical talking point. To camouflage something ugly or to trick the viewer into believing something exists if not for more than a second, using ‘Trompe” can be fun, clever and convincing.
